ROBERT CHAPMAN 

Chapman studied at Cypress College in California and Montgomery College in Rockville, MD. For the last decade of William de Kooning’s life, Chapman was the artist's studio assistant in East Hampton, NY and has become a known authenticator of de Kooning's work.  As his assistant Chapman was afforded the opportunity to glean boundless information from one of the most important artists of the twentieth century. The influence of those many years is evident in Chapman’s work.  

 

 

Chapman has exhibited extensively throughout the United States and has work in numerous public and private collections.
