MICHELLE ROBINSON
STATEMENT
Throughout my life, creating has been a steady presence…a source of grounding and clarity. As my work continues to evolve, I remain committed to shaping spaces through it, inviting viewers to pause, look closely, and discover their own meaning within each piece. The gift of being able to create is not one I take for granted, and the opportunity to share my work with others is something I hold with deep gratitude.
BIO
Originally from Los Angeles, Michelle Robinson is a self-taught artist based in Seattle, Washington. In her second decade now, Robinson has become known for her acrylic and gold leaf paintings that explore layered masking techniques, blending architectural elements with natural and organic forms. Her compositions investigate balance, structure, and the search for order through texture, light, and shape, creating contemplative spaces that invite viewers to slow down and discover personal meaning within each piece. Working intuitively outside traditional academic training, Robinson has developed a distinct visual language rooted in experimentation and instinct. As her practice continues to evolve between precise symmetry and expressive imbalance, she creates spaces that feel both grounded and otherworldly.
Hall Spassov is thrilled to present new work by the artist at this year’s iteration of the Seattle Art Fair and Seattle’s inaugural Assembly Art Fair this July.
